PRIZE-WINNING JOURNALIST: OBAMA LIED TO START SYRIAN WAR

Remember President Obama’s desperate push to wage an unconstitutional war with Syria late last summer?

We were told Assad definitely used sarin gas against his people – killing hundreds; these actions Obama called his “red line.”

“We know the Assad regime was responsible,” he declared.

As it turns out, Obama allegedly lied to us by “cherry-picking intelligence” in an attempt to inspire widespread approval of intervention since practically everyone was opposed to bombing Syria.

This claim wasn’t made by some no-name conspiracy theorist either; it was made by the reputable, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, Seymour Hersh. His accusations stem from multiple conversations with various intelligence and military officials.

NY Magazine describes:

‘When the attack occurred al-Nusra should have been a suspect, but the administration cherry-picked intelligence to justify a strike against [Syrian President Bashar al-Assad],’ writes Hersh, a longtime Pulitzer Prize and Polk Award-winning national security reporter.

In other words, if Hersh’s claims are correct, Obama conveniently “ignored” the fact that the Syrian rebel group, al-Nusra, could have been behind the August attack. It would make sense that he would pick and choose which pieces of intelligence to accept or reject – considering he was arming the Syrian rebels.

Yahoo! News reports:

A former senior intelligence official told me [Hersh] that the Obama administration had altered the available information – in terms of its timing and sequence – to enable the president and his advisers to make intelligence retrieved days after the attack look as if it had been picked up and analyzed in real time, as the attack was happening.

According to Hersh, the same intelligence official said the following, in regards to what it was like within the “military and intelligence bureaucracy”:

The guys are throwing their hands in the air and saying, ‘How can we help this guy [Obama] when he and his cronies in the White House make up the intelligence as they go along?!’

Yahoo! News summarizes the rest of Hersh’s allegations:

• The administration buried intelligence on the fundamentalist group/rebel group al-Nusra.
• The administration was learning about the attack at roughly the same speed civilians were.
• The media succumbed to confirmation bias to a UN report on the attack.

Should Hersh’s claims prove true, Obama intentionally lied to the American people – and to the world – in order to satisfy his bloodlust. 

This isn’t just a sign of bad character; it’s as pathetic as it is barbaric.
