Eccleston, who has played nine times for Liverpool, wrote: 'I aint going to say attack don't let the media make u believe that was terrorist that did it.'

Under investigation: Eccleston later removed the Tweet
It certainly appears that Liverpool either, are attempting to censor free speech, or, have given the Daily Mail a placatory answer so they will basically fuck off. Sporting clubs routinely lie to journalists who seek to capitilise on anything for a story. There is also a sustained and heavy-handed application on sporting stars to toe some so-called political/moral line defined by the 'elites' within that society.
Certainly, in this case, the paucity of the story suggests that a mountain has been made out a molehill, and, that this is an effort to remind the readers of the political protocol they are expected to follow, lest they become branded with the apellation "in league with snowball".

Memorial: Tributes were laid on in New York on
the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks and Liverpool will now
investigate Eccleston's comments
And a nice emotional photo to tug at the heartstrings.
